In actuality, Gene’s first ministry was a prison ministry. For 19 years, he led praise and worship, bible studies, taught classes, preached, prayed for, witnessed to and mentored his fellow prisoners in five different federal prisons. Though Gene and Brenda’s testimony is powerful in any setting, perhaps nowhere more powerful than when it is shared with those who are incarcerated, who can uniquely relate to Gene’s messages like “I Wouldn’t Change it if I Could” and “The Best is Yet to Come”. Gene and Brenda have already had the honor of ministering to men in half-way houses and rehab programs. Now that Gene has been out of prison for more than four years, it is time to go back!
